Everyone wants to serve foster kids, but sometimes it's hard to know how. There are many ways to serve in Compelled to Care. You can serve at large events, write encouraging cards or even help organize gift drives for foster kids and help organize donations.

Compelled to Care began as a group of 10 parents so we believe in the importance of small groups. We host in-person and virtual meet-ups. No membership required to attend.

MOMS ONLINE MEET-UP
We are so excited to partner with Cathy Carlson from Headway Coaching to host our Moms Online Meet-up on Tuesday Nights on Zoom throughout the Summer! Cathy is a professionally trained life coach and owner of Headway Coaching, co-founder of Compelled to Care, former Executive Director of Ibsen Adoption Network, founder of the Restore Retreat and foster/adoptive mom! She and her husband have raised 11 kids (9 adopted) into adulthood. She is passionate about supporting foster, adoptive and kinship moms.

Our conversation is honest and often not for kids. Please join us from a space in your home that is away from your kids who are old enough to understand. We love kids and enjoy saying "hi" to them, but this is a kid-free time.

WEEKLY PRAYER
Cyndi Weaver who leads online prayer every Thursday in our Facebook group is opening her home every Thursday night to have a focused prayer time to pray over the foster care system, our Compelled to Care Community and over each prayer request that comes in through the post comments. Prayers sent to her via messenger will be kept confidential and not shared at this meet-up.

FAMILY MEET-UPS
YOUTH FAMILY MEET-UP
Youth Family Meet-ups are for youth 11+ and their parent/caregivers. Youth Family Meet-ups are quarterly events exclusively for the big kids where they can try new things, connect with other kids their age who are apart of foster, adoptive or kinship families. Our youth leaders also attend these events because they love the community of Compelled to Care.

There are opportunities throughout the year for these kids to raise money for their meet-ups. In October they sold Italian Sodas and hot dog dinners to raise money to rent Skateland for a private skate party. Registration for these events will be posted under events.

SUMMER PLAYDATE PARK TOUR
The Summer Playdate Park Tour is an annual tour of local parks that we have been doing since 2016. We meet weekly on Wednesday mornings from 10am-12pm for 8 weeks in July and August.

Every week we have a different activity for the kids like rock painting, nerf blaster fights and bubbles.
​
This meet-up is best for toddlers-5th grade and their older siblings.
​
