Compelled to Care is a multi-faceted ministry that was birthed by people who wanted a safe place to be with other people who know what it means to care for kids from hard places. Everyone wants to serve foster kids, but sometimes it's hard to know how. There are many ways to serve in Compelled to Care. You can serve at large events, write encouraging cards or even help organize gift drives for foster kids and help organize donations.

Earn a FREE bag with every hour served!
Help raise funds for Compelled to Care by setting up the Bargains and Blessings Sale. After the regular Just Between Friends Olympia Sale we sell the donated items to raise money for free community events for local foster, adoptive and kinship families!

Pick-up gently used donations for your nonprofit!
Join us for a resource giveaway event that is exclusively for nonprofits that serve families, kids and youth! Compelled to Care is partnering with Just Between Friends Olympia to bring this event to Thurston County.
JBF Olympia is one of the largest consignment events full of gently used baby & kids clothes, maternity clothes, kids shoes, books and baby gear. At the end of this week-long sale consignors have the opportunity to give back to the community by donating items to the Resource Giveaway. The goal is to give away everything!

The Pumpkin Patch Bash is fun fall festival for foster, adoptive and kinship families, New Community Church and the community!
It takes almost two weeks and many hands to pull off this community event so we have lots of opportunities to serve so please register for the area(s) you'd like to serve!

This FREE event is for foster, adoptive and kinship families, New Bridge Community Church and the community - so invite your friends!

This event is hosted by Compelled to Care and New Bridge Community Church.
We know family sizes change frequently in the foster care community and plans change so we will accept everyone at the door, BUT please register so that we can plan to have enough food and of course enough CANDY!

Compelled to Care has many free community events and meet-ups for families, but we offer membership for those who want a deeper level of community.
Membership includes Family Dinners, special events, gift giveaways and the ability to put child-focused requests into CarePortal (which will launch this session - Sept'24-Aug'25).
